The Office Chair Blanket You Sit Into

Being cold at a desk whose thermostat someone else controls usually ends in a lap throw, and a lap throw is a second job: it slides off when you lean in, and it has to be gathered up or dropped every time you stand. This one straps around the chair back with two sets of elastic bands and hangs there open, so the warm part is already in position when you sit down rather than something you hold. Four flaps do the work: the upper pair over the arms, the lower pair across the thighs, which is where a lap throw is supposed to sit and never stays. Because the straps hold it to the chair instead of to you, standing up is walking out of it. Black on the outside, grey plush on the inside, and long enough that the flaps hang well below the seat.
